1. President Obama's message was to the students. He wanted students to work hard and never give up on themselves. He wanted students to do something everyday to get closer to a goal whether it be get your homework in or volunteer in your community and help others.
ReplyDelete2. His introduction started with him saying where he was and that he knew it was the first day of school for many students in America. His first point was that the adults in your life have a responsibility to help you succeed in life and help you achieve your goals. His second point was that you need an education to be successful in life. He mentioned that you shouldn't cut school and you don't have any excuse for cutting school. His last point was that you need to believe in yourself because if you dont believe in yourself then no one else will and you will live a bad life. He concluded by telling students to work hard and never give up.
3.Personally i liked his speech and thought it was well written, but then again i expect all speeches from any president to be well written.
4.He used the trait "speaker is sincere". He used it because he talked about understanding that some families are going through tough times. He mentioned that when he was young his dad left him and his mother struggled to pay the bills and had to home school him because she couldn't afford to send him to public schools.
1. President Obama's message was directed towards the students of this nation. he wants students to follow their dreams and never give up. he also said that to follow those goals/ dreams you need to be in school. it is like the building blocks for your dream.
ReplyDelete2.Obama started out trying to relate to the students about getting up early for school, and how its the first day and you may be nervous.his first point was how it is adults responsibility to help and inspire kids to do their best.his second point was it is your responsibility to get an education.education is key to following your dream.his third point is if you don't believe in yourself your dreams can't even come true.
3. this was an awesome speech. it was written well and its is true how you need to have an education to make your goals come true. not everything is easy.
4. He displayed the trait "speaker uses language carefully".the speech itself was created for students from kindergartners through high schools it should be made to be understood by all of them
1. President Obama wants the student to get good education and do homework everyday. And he wants them to read a book at least a day or somewhere. And he wants them to stay in school and be safe. And want them to join some community or sports stuff.
ReplyDelete2. On his first intro was about first day of school for students. And the first point is about adult helps you succeed and good life stuff. And then second point is get a good life after high school and college. And the third point is to not give up and believe who you are.
3. For my thoughts I think that his speech are so powerful. I agree with everything what he say. It's so true that everybody needs to go to school everyday to learn new things for the future. That's what I like about.
4. His speech is all about education and help successfull for students for better lifes. And say about k-12 to pass everything for future.

3. i think it was a good speech and it was a good idea. especially now that our economy isnt too hot kids need to understand that getting a good ob isnt just going to happen. you have to work to achieve your goals.

1. President Obama's speech was talking to kids about how important school is to your future. He said that even if you are in a bad spot in your life you are still able to succeed in school and life.
ReplyDelete2. Obama started by trying to relate to the kids by telling them the story that he had to get up early for school too. Then he went into stories about other kids in the United States that had problems but were still succeeding in school. He said that we are the future in the United States and that school will help us be what we want to be when we grow up.
3. I like how he related the speech to student age kids. He did not throw out any political stuff. He kept it focused on education and the students.
4. He was very knowledgeable when he spoke. He knew what he was going to say and stayed on topic. He kept it so that the students could understand it. He did a good job with this speech.
President Obama's speech was directed to everyone who is in school. He mainly wants students to strive for excellence and do the best they can no matter what the predicament may be. Obama say that We determine of futures and our success. Nobody has an excuse as to why they can't try to make their lives the best that they can. Obama also points out that everyone should want to make themselves, their parents, the President himself and our country happy, because education is fundamental to our well-being along the road to success.
ReplyDeletePresident Obamas speeches message was to persuade students to do good in school. Believe in themselves and make sure they try their hardest. Because we are the future and people are looking forward to us doing something with our lives and helping this country some day.
ReplyDeleteHis introduction was him talking about kids starting school and telling his storys about when school started to show or tell the students he knows what they're going through and where they're comign from. Then as he got into his speech he pointed at the students need to one believe in themselves, two try you hardest in school even when times are tough, and three prepare yourself for the future. And last his conclusion was to tell the students work hard, don't give up, and try and pay attention so you'll figure out what you want to do in life.
What I thought about his speech, I liked it he was very forward and blunt about what he wanted the students to do and achieve. Also he made good points and what he said made you actually think about what you want to do.
I think he used effective communicative traits when he was making points like, there are people out there who have been in worse situations than you and you just have to try. Also he made you feel like he cared.

3.) I thought the speech was great i really like it and i like how he did a speech about kids staying in school, i think he the first president to do that, so i reallt like that.

1.) On his address to the students of America, President Barack Obama urged the youth of the nation to put in the time and work into improving their education. He made it clear that the students are the future on not only this country but this planet. He urged them to focus on their studies and stay dedicated by accepting the challanges and not dropping out of school.

He stated his thesis when he told the students, "When you drop out of school you not only quit on yourself; but you also quit on your country." He concluded his speech by making it clear that he would do everything in his power to ensure that they had all they needed to succseed. Then he told that the students that they must take it upon themselves to further their education. He closed by stressing the importance of education and staying in school.
3.) The speech was informative, inspirational, and moving; however, I got the sense that I have heard it before. It was very general and did not have many details. It had plenty of power, humor, and while staying to the point. The speech however lacked depth. The president should have written different speeches for elementary students and one for middle and high school students.
4.) President has always been an extremely effective speaker. His voice is clear, his body language is assertive, and he stays true to the topic of discussion. He excells in his natural ability to form a genuine connection with his audience.
Obama's speech was to encourage all students all over to basically persevere!
ReplyDeleteIt was a well thought out speech and very informative. He made a good point when he stated "when you drop out of school you're not only quitting on yourself, you're quitting on you country." I loved that quit because its not only true but also deep. He wanted to make the point that you basically wont have a future for you nor your country by dropping out. I totally agree with his speech. For one I want everyone to be successful in life. I never want to see anyone drop out because if you believe you can definitely achieve! President Obama is a very good speaker. He jokes around with the students but at the same time keeps it professional and gets his point across. He speaks out to the students but also listens. He makes sure that he gets it out to all students to stay in school and you will definitely be successful!
President Obama's speach was amazing. He wants us all to succeed in school so we can succeed in life.
ReplyDeleteOne of his arguments was if you fail in school your also failing your country. he also said that to succeed in life YOU have to want it not your parents pushing you but you.
His speech i believe was true all around. i agree that its hard to push yourself to succeed but, with the right motivation you can do it.
He kept his speech organized and humorus which kept everyones attintion.
Presendent Obama's adress to the student was just warning to us as the next generation, just a warning to let us know how bad the economy is, and how bad we need our education in the United States of America.
