I chose John F.Kennedy's speech. His speech was well organized and effective. He gave a strong approach and he opened well. Kennedy uses correct language and he delievers his message in a firm way. He may not have caught an audiences attention, because the tone of his voice seems boring. But, he often used a specific words that may have startled a race outside of his own. Kennedy was often stereotyping in his speech. I say his speech was effective cause it would have motivated me to want to be better and exceed to be better. Despite Kennedy saying more whites were liable to get more education than blacks, but i believe his intentions we well.
ReplyDeleteWhen giving a presentation, it is almost always my intentions to have my speech well organized and speak correctly. Presenting a speech is a time where you have to show how educated you are. Speaking clearly and effectively and have a well thought-out and organized speech are my main goals.

ReplyDeleteThis Speech is about the address to the nation about the attack of pearl harbor. Japan had attacked pearl harbor. japan had also attack other places like Hong Kong and Guam. america took action after these events and went to war aganist japan.
1.Franklin Delano Roosevelt's message was to tell the nation of Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor.
2.The intro started out by him stating that america was attack by japan and how that happened. The first point was that japan had taken the pacific by suprise by attacking many places. The Second point was that america had begun to take precationary mesures and will remember this. The third point is that we will declar war on Japan. the Conclusion is thatwe will do the best to protect america and it is war aganist japan.
3. I guess I agree with this speech because it was just telling us about and attack and that we are going into war.
4. The speaker is knowlledgeable because he know exactly what japan attacked and that they attacked us.
I chose Franklin D. Roosevelt- Address To The Nation. Because it was fraud on the Japanese side to undertake a surprise offensive extending throughout the Pacific area, after the ambassador of Japan & the U.S Secretary of State had just signed a peace treaty. Many americans had their lives took from them, the United States Army & Naval have suffered a suvier dent,the U.S had lost 3 cruisers, 3 destroyers, 188 aircraft,2,402 killed, and 1,282 wounded. Which started WW2,this happened during the Great Depression which shook the U.S as a country, because they where already in a horrible debt so they had to start what is known today as the world trade, so they could rebuild our Army & Naval support. Which caused the civilizations of the U.S to panic

1. Barbara Bush's message was to have fun/ enjoy life, keep striving for an important goal,know where you stand in life and learn to comprehend/read/write/speak, because the world will be a better place if you do.
2.The introduction started with her welcoming everyone and saying how happy and how much fun she had and that this was a diverse school. She also talked about peace and how to achieve it.
3.I agree with her speech because you do need to know how to write,speak, read, and comprehend anything or you're not going to get anywhere in the U.S., or anywhere else in the world.
4.The speaker was knowledgable because she had already done speeches and she herself had gone through finding herself.
The speech that I choose was the Martain Luther King speech. His speech was a speech about freedom and equalness. He made his point by wanting everyone to be treated the same with no segration anymore. His speech was very effective because now today everyone everyway is equal (although some chose not to be). He was a very good speaker and made it clear what his purpose was in life and why he wanted his dream to come true. How we live in society today, it is very true! He always kept hope alive and has definitely made a big differnce in the world.

In this speech Lou Gehrig said he has been given a bad break but he had so much good in his life. With everything he had been given with baseball he said "sure I'm lucky." He was very grateful for everything that had happened in his life. I think that Lou Gehrig used the effective communicator traits well. He talked to the people and he kept on track he did not go off topic.

ReplyDeleteHis speach was very inspiring to me as a American and me as a speaker. He believes we should follow Duty, Honor, and, Country. He explains how we should all be strong. strong enough to know when to be serious but, not to seious. To smile but be able to weep. He talks about what it takes to be a soldier.
I chose this speach because i'm proud to be an American and I would proudly fight for my Country.
I could use this speach to inspire me to yell my beliefs and stand by my arguments.

over-population a menace to the peace of the world. There was a issue about uncertainty and disagreement exists in the moral side of the subject of Birth Control. And they sent letters to people around the world that talks about over population and stuff.
But for me I disgree with this women. Who cares if the world is over population. You can not ruin people future lifes that they create. So that's what I think.
