Alma's Hamilton Bill A BILL TO LIFT THE CUBAN EMBARGO
Be it enacted by the student congress here assembled that:
SECTION 1. This Bill would allow Cuban merchants to trade with American marketer’s and American merchants to trade with Cuban marketers. Subpoint A. Embargo is an order of the government prohibiting the movement of merchant ships into or out of its ports. SECTION 2. The Cuban Embargo would no longer be in effect. Americans would be allowed to trade with Cuba and would be able to do business within Cuban. This standard would also apply for Cubans. SECTION 3. This Bill would be effective upon the signature of the Cuban government and the signature of the President of the United States of America. SECTION 4. Will's Hamilton Bill A BILL TO DECRIMINALIZE MEDICAL MARIJUANA USE
Be it enacted by the student congress here assembled that:
SECTION 1. The use of medical marijuana should be decriminalized. Decriminalizing medical marijuana would greatly benefit doctors in their roles as physicians. Medical marijuana use can help patients with illnesses and other minor health problems such as arthritis, multiple sclerosis and cancer. Subpoint A. Decriminalize: to reduce or abolish criminal penalties for. Medical Marijuana refers to the use of the dried leaves and stems from the marijuana cannabis plant as a physician-recommended drug or herbal therapy. SECTION 2. The FDA shall approve and regulate any and all medical marijuana. The FDA has the right to designate any other regulators. Doctors and physicians must have a thorough evaluation, and must be certified before they are able to prescribe medical marijuana. Upon approval for a patient to possess medical marijuana, the regulator must make a thorough background check on the patient including a review of the patient’s medical history and submit the review to the patient’s doctor for evaluation. Upon successful evaluation, the patient may be given a prescription based on patients’ need, not to exceed twenty (20) g. for a minimum time period of one (1) month. SECTION 3. Violation of this Bill shall result in an investigation, and arrest thereof, including a jail sentence of up to the state’s current sentence for possession of an illegal substance. SECTION 4. If passed by the congress here assembled, this Bill will become law during the year of 2015 so as to give the state and private organizations time to review their current codes and redesign them to fit with this law. Demarianna's Hamilton Bill A Bill for Voting Rights for Felons 1 Be it enacted by the Congress assembled here that: 2 Section 1: All convicted felons who have served their sentence and 3 paid their debt to society will be allowed to vote in elections for 4 publicly-held offices. 5 Section 2: Any felon on probation will be excluded from this bill 6 until their probationary period has expired. 7 Section 3: All other voting restrictions still apply. 8 Section 4: Enforcement of this bill will be by the State Department. 9 Section 5: Any funding required for this bill will come through 10 normal means. 11 Section 6: Any conflicting legislation or portions of legislation will 12 be null and void. 13 Section 7: This bill will go into effect on January 1, 2011.

Be it enacted by the student assembled here that:
Section 1: United States government will reduce the drinking age to 18. Subpoint A. Drinking is defined as consuming alcoholic beverages. Section 2: There will be no cost for passing this Bill, however, there will be cost to implement in-depth teaching of the importance of safe and smart drinking. Congress shall create a committee that will prepare educational material to inform individuals about the cause and effects of binge drinking and safe drinking. Section 3. If passed by the congress here assembled, this Bill will become law during the year of 2012 so as to give the states and organizations time to prepare for the changes in the law as well as to educate individuals. Section 4. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.
A Bill to Require All Restaurants to Provide Calorie Count
BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS ASSEMBLED HERE THAT: 1. Section 1. Any establishment that serves and sells food for total business more than $300,000 2. annually, will come under the jurisdiction of this bill. 3. Section 2. All restaurants must provide a calorie count on all menu and or served items. These 4. must be easily seen by customers and available electronically. 5. Section 3. The funding for necessary enforcement of this bill will be allocated from the 6. Department of Health and Human Services as deemed necessary by the director. 7. Section 4. Other laws that are in conflict with this bill shall be declared null and void. 8. Section 5. This law shall take into affect on the fiscal year of 2011.

No Pass, No Play: the system where a student must pass all of his/her classes to participate in a sport or other extracurricular activity. If a student fails a class, he/she will be ineligible to play for the first thirty (30) days of his/her activity’s season. Failed Class: not receiving credit because the student earned a grade below sixty percent. SECTION 3. The Iowa High School Athletic Association will enforce this law. Individual districts will track each student’s eligibility. A. Students who make up the missing credits will be allowed to participate after the opening game of the season. B. Ineligible players who have not made up the credits will be banned from district and/or state competition in all activities for a thirty day period from the beginning of the season [e.g. first game] of their first activity. C. Any districts found in violation of this law will be penalized by the IHSAA per the current law. SECTION 4. The law will go into effect upon passage. SECTION 5. Section 1: This Bill should be enacted for the safety of the general public and will help decrease the 2. number of accidents. 3. Subpoint A: Elderly is defined as any persons above the age of 60. 4. Section 2: This Bill shall require all drivers 60 years of age or older to take the Department of 5 .Transportation (DOT) drive test when renewing their driver’s license every three years. If they are 6. unable to pass the DOT drive test or the vision test, their driving privileges shall be revoked. 7. Section 3: If an elderly driver is found driving on an expired license and has not taken a DOT drive 8. test, they will be required to pay a $200 fine before being able to reapply for a driver’s license. 9. Section 4: The government will double the current amount used for DOT drive tests and its expenses 10. for the year of 2010. This money will be used to hire extra employees to enforce the DOT drive 11. tests. 12. White pointed hoods and robes shall 7. be defined as any article of clothing resembling 8. costumes or apparel worn by anyone 9. as these are associated with racism and deep prejudicial hate 10. Section 3. This bill shall be enacted and enforced by 11. individual State Department of Justice under their 12. discretion and judgment. Funding will come 13. from appropriations from state and federal taxes. 14. Section 4. This bill shall be enacted on the first of 2010. 15. Section 5. All conflicting laws will be reviewed by 16. the State Department of Justice and implementation 17. of this bill will be up to their discretion in these situations.

Section 1: Currently alternative energy isn’t being used to its maximum potential
Section 2: Alternative energy is better for the environment than using fossil fuels
Section 3: Alternative energy would save the United States money in the long run
Section 4: These incentives would help break companies from the grips of foreign oil dependence
Section 5: Incentives would include but are not limited to tax breaks, loans, and block grants
